The grain harvest in our country began in early May in local regions such as Adana and Şanlıurfa, and as of today, it is intensively continuing in the Mediterranean, Southeastern Anatolia, and Aegean coastal regions. The national harvest rate is approximately 5%.

Markets are being closely monitored, and in order to provide storage opportunities for farmers who have completed their harvest, grain purchases commenced on May 14, 2024, against a written commitment.

The wheat and barley purchase prices of TMO, along with certain decisions regarding foreign trade measures, were announced by our Ministry on 06/06/2024. Detailed information about TMO purchases and the prices of other product groups are listed below.

TMO will operate at over 600 purchase points, including TMO workplaces and licensed warehouses with which agreements have been signed. The licensed warehouse companies that have signed protocols with TMO are published on the website www.tmo.gov.tr, and farmers will be able to sell the products they deliver to these warehouses to TMO as Electronic Product Certificates (ELÜS).

To prevent long waiting times for farmers at TMO workplaces, the appointment-based purchase system, which is applied by TMO, will continue at all purchase points, including agreed licensed warehouses. The TMO Appointment System has been updated, and farmers can make appointments either through https://randevu.tmo.gov.tr or via the e-Government portal (Randevu Sistemi - Toprak Mahsulleri Ofisi).

Purchases at TMO workplaces will be made six days a week, excluding official holidays and Sundays. Payments for the products delivered will be transferred to the farmers' bank accounts within 45 days after the product is delivered.

If farmers deliver products to licensed warehouses, they will benefit from the following incentives: 2% withholding tax exemption, 2% social security premium deduction exemption, 25 TL/Ton transportation support (up to 750 TL), 25 TL analysis support per vehicle, and support for warehouse rental fees. Additionally, they can benefit from a zero-interest, 9-month loan for up to 75% of the product price through Türkiye Ziraat Bankası and Agricultural Credit Cooperatives.

To encourage wheat production in 2024, a support payment of up to 1,750 TL/Ton for wheat and 750 TL/Ton for barley will be provided to all registered producers under the Farmer Registration System (ÇKS), as determined by the Ministry's procedures and principles.

Our Ministry will continue to provide additional support for fertilizer, diesel, and certified seeds. The entire production amount registered in the ÇKS will be purchased. The stock exchange registration fee for products sold to TMO workplaces will be covered by TMO. A service fee (1%) will be deducted at temporary purchase centers, and unloading fees for dump trucks will not be charged. TMO will also be able to purchase grain at trade exchanges with suitable infrastructure.
